After a drive to the Laundromat, you have mentally prepared yourself to spend as much as a couple of hours there. Then you reach into your bag or pocket and realize you have forgotten a crucial item to complete your laundry. While you can certainly drive back home and pick up the item, it is an inconvenience that can make anyone feel disappointed in themselves. If you want to avoid this annoyance, here is a checklist of all the things you need to bring to the Laundromat.
- Laundry Supplies
laundry detergent. To avoid lugging around a heavy container of detergent and softener, you can invest in laundry tablets. One tablet per load can lighten your load significantly.
fabric softener washer dispenser ball. If you opt with laundry tablets, the packet may already have fabric softener in it. If you go with the ball, do not forget the ball itself and the fabric softener container.
dryer sheets. To keep your clothes soft and rid the static during the drying process, make sure to pack one per dryer load. - Laundry Card – Your card used for operating machines probably still has money on it that can be used towards your next wash. You also don’t want to have to purchase a new card just because you left yours at home.
- Laundry – While it may seem obvious, there are some people who get to the Laundromats who have to quickly turn back because they realize their silly error.
- Credit Card, Debit Card, or Cash – Gone are the days of needed to lug around a bunch of quarters in card operated laundromats. However, don’t forget your wallet so you can add needed funds to your laundry card to do your laundry,
- Entertainment – Pack something to keep your mind busy while you wait for your laundry cycles to finish. This can be a book, magazine, laptop, tablet, puzzle, Sudhoku, card game, or anything else that will keep you preoccupied while you wait.
