For a regular washing machine, use regular laundry detergent.

Amount: It’s incredibly important not to add too much soap into the machine, as it could end up leaving your clothes coated in detergent and may damage the machine. Additionally, thick soap is not good for your clothes or the machine, either. Depending on the size of your laundry, you may need to add more or less detergent into the machine. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to measure out the proper amount of detergent. Aim to add the detergent before adding the clothing to allow it to properly dissolve.
