Not all detergents are created equally. In fact, there are some on the shelves today that don’t dissolve well, don’t clean or soften clothes efficiently, and tend to damage washing machines. Additionally, studies have shown that most people use too much laundry detergent. This is because people don’t generally run the washing machines to full capacity. Using too much detergent can result in detergent build-up on clothes, which can irritate your skin. If your clothes are not heavily soiled, you should be able to get away with the recommended dosage or less.
